August F. Köhr Viola - Fine Quality ~ hcc-hc2800 This viola has a fine, heavy antiquing of medium-brown varnish over a golden base. It has a sweet tone, with big projection and a good amount of tonal complexity. The “A” string is brilliant & clear in all positions and the “C” string keeps a big voice in higher positions. It is a very good performance level instrument! This is a better, hand-graduated violin that is well flamed with a seasoned maple back. It has medium satin, red-brown to gold-brown finish, an open sound and big projection. It has rich, medium tone throughout and is very responsive and easy to play. Available in 12" - 17" sizes.
